Brain retraining, when Christ-centered, is rooted in renewing the mind according to Scripture rather than emptying the mind or relying on self as New Age practices do. 1. Biblical Meditation vs. New Age Meditation – New Age meditation often promotes emptying the mind, seeking enlightenment within, or manifesting desires. In contrast, biblical meditation focuses on filling the mind with God’s Word. Joshua 1:8 says, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night…” 2. Taking Thoughts Captive – Instead of passively observing thoughts (as mindfulness practices suggest), we actively take thoughts captive and align them with truth. 2 Corinthians 10:5 says, “We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” 3. Brain Renewal Through Scripture – Romans 12:2 tells us, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind.” A Christ-centered approach involves replacing negative or anxious thoughts with Scripture and truth, allowing God to reshape our thinking about many of life's struggles. 4. Relying on the Holy Spirit, Not Self – New Age practices focus on self-empowerment and personal energy. In contrast, biblical brain renewal depends on the Holy Spirit. Philippians 4:8 encourages us to focus on what is true, noble, and praiseworthy—shifting our thoughts in alignment with God’s design. A Christ-centered approach to brain retraining is about intentionally renewing our minds with God’s Word, prayer, and gratitude—fixing our eyes on Jesus rather than on self or the universe.
I hear you! It can feel like there’s no room in your day for anything extra, especially when you’re already in survival mode. The good news is, I’ve designed this course to work with your busy life. Each lesson is short and actionable, allowing you to make progress without feeling overwhelmed. Most of my students have multiple very young children and are able to do the work required for healing while their children sleep. Personally, I’ve done the work with a newborn while nursing! I want to reassure you that even if you’re short on time, this course can still be incredibly effective. Ideally, the tools are designed to take about an hour a day, but that time isn’t about adding another burden to your plate—it’s about transforming the way you experience motherhood. This isn’t just another task; it’s an investment in your peace, your patience, and your ability to show up as the mom and wife you want to be. And if an hour feels impossible? If you can only spare 5 minutes three times a day, that’s perfectly fine! You can still notice a big difference just committing a short amount of time. The key is consistency, and even small, focused moments throughout the day will add up over time.
