““I was overstimulated, living with chronic stress, an angry mom and a quarrelsome wife. I would dread it when my kiddos came to talk to me especially when I was in the middle of doing something. I would crave alone time away from my kiddos. Loud noises used to bug me. I was constantly in flight or fight because of triggers that reminded me of my childhood. It took me about a month to talk to my husband about the course because I have a hard time with paying for courses online that I am skeptical about. “My husband has been gone for almost 2 weeks, and when he is away the enemy starts doing his thing. Things break, fear and anxiety tries to creep into everything, and I can be very quick to react in a snappy and fearful way. This week, the enemy has been doing his thing and the amount of peace I have felt through it all brings me to tears! The amount of renewal of my mind in the times that felt so small before but now I see are so big, is so encouraging! The Lord has shown me so many things in myself, and I know His heart enough to know that usually means He is wanting to touch that part of me and has plans for breaking chains and setting me free. Last night, fear began to creep in, and I sat in bed repeating Psalm 23 until I felt peace just WASH over me and next thing I know I’m asleep and slept so well! Normally, I would start into anxiety of all the things that could happen and what I could do to prevent or prepare for it (fight or flight), BUT GOD! Also, I am seeing a change in my 4 year old daughter. I have struggled so much with anger and getting overwhelmed and frustrated easily. But as I’m learning to slow down in my responding and take a second to pray or reset my nervous system, I’m watching her do the same. She would normally get angry easily, as well, and yell at or hit her sister over frustrations, and now I’m watching her hug her sister, ask for forgiveness, and pray. Brain retraining, when Christ-centered, is rooted in renewing the mind according to Scripture rather than emptying the mind or relying on self as New Age practices do. 1. Biblical Meditation vs. New Age Meditation – New Age meditation often promotes emptying the mind, seeking enlightenment within, or manifesting desires. In contrast, biblical meditation focuses on filling the mind with God’s Word. Joshua 1:8 says, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night…” 2. Taking Thoughts Captive – Instead of passively observing thoughts (as mindfulness practices suggest), we actively take thoughts captive and align them with truth. 2 Corinthians 10:5 says, “We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” 3. Brain Renewal Through Scripture – Romans 12:2 tells us, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind.” A Christ-centered approach involves replacing negative or anxious thoughts with Scripture and truth, allowing God to reshape our thinking about many of life's struggles. 4. Relying on the Holy Spirit, Not Self – New Age practices focus on self-empowerment and personal energy. In contrast, biblical brain renewal depends on the Holy Spirit. Philippians 4:8 encourages us to focus on what is true, noble, and praiseworthy—shifting our thoughts in alignment with God’s design. A Christ-centered approach to brain retraining is about intentionally renewing our minds with God’s Word, prayer, and gratitude—fixing our eyes on Jesus rather than on self or the universe.
I hear you! It can feel like there’s no room in your day for anything extra, especially when you’re already in survival mode. The good news is, I’ve designed this course to work with your busy life. Each lesson is short and actionable, allowing you to make progress without feeling overwhelmed. Most of my students have multiple very young children and are able to do the work required for healing while their children sleep. Personally, I’ve done the work with a newborn while nursing! I want to reassure you that even if you’re short on time, this course can still be incredibly effective. Ideally, the tools are designed to take about an hour a day, but that time isn’t about adding another burden to your plate—it’s about transforming the way you experience motherhood. This isn’t just another task; it’s an investment in your peace, your patience, and your ability to show up as the mom and wife you want to be. And if an hour feels impossible? If you can only spare 5 minutes three times a day, that’s perfectly fine! You can still notice a big difference just committing a short amount of time. The key is consistency, and even small, focused moments throughout the day will add up over time. Absolutely! While many of my students are stay-at-home moms, the tools and strategies in this course are just as effective for working moms. In fact, if you’re juggling work and motherhood, learning to regulate your nervous system and create more peace in your home can be even more transformative. I have many working moms in the group who have found it incredibly beneficial for managing all they have to juggle. One thing they’ve found especially helpful is my planner method, which simplifies mental load and helps you stay grounded, even on the busiest days. “It took me 30 days to get thru the course (that was my goal you could def do it faster or a little slower and I’m going to start from the beginning again to soak in some more of the amazing advice and personalize my worksheets more).
